Kathryn Brindley-Edwards

I joined The Bedford College Group in September 2025 and now oversee both The Bedford Sixth Form and The Corby Sixth Form. I’ve spent most of my career working within schools, specialising in sixth form provision. I’ve had the opportunity to lead two very different sixth forms, each with its own size and context, before moving into a national role with a large multi-academy trust. There, I served as the Senior Lead for Post 16, supporting 11 sixth forms across the Trust.

I have a proven track record of improving standards and outcomes at post-16 level, primarily by focusing on building a strong culture and ethos among staff, students, and parents. I’m deeply passionate about transforming the lives of young people, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds, and I firmly believe that high-quality academic education is a powerful tool for achieving this.

I also care deeply about the importance of grassroots sport. In my spare time, I’m a keen hockey player and have previously served as Chair of my local hockey club.
